What sort of people can benefit from the technique?

Just about everyone can benefit from Alexander lessons in one way or another.

Some people come for specific problems (back pain is probably the most common), others because they feel it helps put themselves more in touch with their bodies and still others because it helps them cope with the strains and stresses of modern life.

Musicians, singers, dancers and actors find the technique particularly helpful. So do those people who are susceptible to modern technological injuries from working long hours in front of computers.

Photographers, builders, dentists and anyone else who has to contort their body during their work also notice a big difference.

Alexander, however, isn't just for certain special groups. Young and old from any background or lifestyle can benefit from having lessons (my oldest pupil at present is over 80).
