I
try to keep my lessons informal and to work with
the particular difficulty or interest of each
pupil.
A
lesson is around 40 minutes (the first one is
usually an hour).
During
this time I gently place my hands on your head,
neck and back to help you release tensions and
prevent old habit patterns interfering with your
natural functioning.
You'll
first learn to apply the technique to everyday
movements like standing, sitting and
walking.
You
can then begin to introduce the principles into
other activities. Alexander can, for example, help
improve the way you swim, play golf, ride a horse,
jog or even push along a supermarket
cart.
